Fathers Day - Cooking with Dad
Head Chef, Tony Smith will be teaching resident Dads how to cook the perfect BBQ with tips on making fabulous sauces and salads.
Dads will then have the opportunity to show off their newly found skills by cooking a tasty BBQ lunch for the family on Sunday 15th June!
Prices start from £225 per night for a standard double which includes DBB and BBQ lunch for 2 adults on the Sunday. This is based on a 2 night stay. Children’s food will be charged separately at £10 per head.

Arrive in the afternoon for a sumptuous supreme tea of smoked salmon finger sandwiches, strawberries and cream and a glass of Champagne. Relax for the afternoon, taking advantage of our state of the art OFSTED registered crèche. High tea is available for the children, and when the children are tucked up in bed being monitored by our sophisticated monitoring system, enjoy dinner created by our Head Chef, Tony Smith.
After breakfast, the children can have fun in the crèche while adults relax.

On Chesil Beach
 To celebrate the launch of the paperback of Ian McEwan’s ‘On Chesil Beach’ Moonfleet Manor Hotel will be selling copies of the book from 3rd January 2008. Guests will be able to read this ‘tour de force’ and experience the true beauty of Chesil Beach, the only first natural site to achieve World Heritage status.

On Chesil Beach is another masterwork from Ian McEwan – a story about how the entire course of life can be changed by a gesture not made or a word not spoken.
It is June 1962. In a hotel on the Dorset coast, overlooking Chesil Beach, Edward and Florence, who got married that morning are sitting down to dinner in their room. Neither is entirely able to suppress their anxieties about the wedding night to come….
Ian McEwan is the author of two collections of stories and ten previous novels, including Amsterdam, for which he won the Booker Prize in 1998, Atonement, which has recently been made into an acclaimed film, and Saturday.

Creative Drawing and Painting Classes at Moonfleet Manor Hotel
 The beautiful and atmospheric environment of Moonfleet Manor Hotel, located overlooking the world famous Chesil Beach is a wonderful source of inspiration for drawing and painting on location with Anne-Marie Kelly.
Here at Moonfleet we have developed a creative drawing and painting break where you will produce sketches and studies in line, tone and colour, working in a wide range of media both wet and dry. Your tutor, Anne- Marie also encourages the use of photography to further inform and extend the work.
During the course students will investigate and develop the subject via a range of drawing and painting techniques and informative practical exercises which will lead to the final finished paintings.
Students will also be encouraged to look at the works of artists both traditional and contemporary who particularly work in the genre of land and seascape painting, to inform, inspire and develop your personal creativity.
 Anne –Marie Kelly studied at St.Martin’s School of Art, London and now lives and paints in Dorset. She has been a part time lecturer in fine art, textiles and life drawing at Weymouth College and is member of “Southern Contemporaries” Bournemouth Arts Club. Her paintings exist in many private collections in the UK and abroad.
Creative drawing and painting classes at Moonfleet Manor start from £100 per person, for a minimum of four people for one day (excluding hotel accommodation). This includes tuition and materials. Please contact us for prices of individual tuition.
