Christmas at Moonfleet Manor
Christmas 2008
Tuesday 23rd December
Our famous Christmas break starts when guests arrive from 1.00 p.m. for a light lunch of sumptuous finger sandwiches, deli delights and fancy pastries
Our children’s entertainer will be on hand to demonstrate some circus tricks followed by Mr Muddle and his children’s magic show
High Tea is taken from 5.00 p.m.
And later, children can relax with cookies, milk and videos in our evening crèche
Join me from 7.00 p.m. when I dig out a few beauties from my cellar and do a spot of wine tasting
Dinner, as sumptuous as ever, is lovingly prepared by Tony and his team, music is provided by special guests.
Christmas Eve
Wednesday 24th December 2008
The excitement is building, so work off a bit of energy at our Swimming Gala.
Our Masseurs and Beauty Therapists are on hand to soothe and relax you.
Then all of a sudden it’s Lunchtime! Authentic Italian specialities …Mmmm!! Bella!
An animal magic kind of afternoon with children’s Pony rides after lunch, followed by those “A list” Reptile celebrities. It’s a chance to stroke an iguana or feel the skin of a corn snake.
And then to get you into the real spirit of Christmas, join us in a Concert of Carols by the fire. Hark the Herald Angels sing.
Quiet reflection for children in our evening crèche with cookies, milk and videos
Amidst the nervous tension of the evening, allow us to formally welcome in Christmas with Champagne and Canapés followed by Tony’s Menu Gourmand
(Black Tie & Party Dress)
Christmas Day
Thursday 25th December 2008
It’s the big day and first things first, it’s the serious business of tracking down the red and white man with our Santa Hunt (a present to all of those who find him)
It wouldn’t be Christmas without…
Moonfleet’s Traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings
Later whilst you recline (and perhaps fall asleep in the lounge!), a Children’s Entertainer clowns about.
And if your still hungry later, a Classic Edwardian Cold Pantry Buffet - very ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’
At the end of a hectic day, just toast yourselves gently by the fires and enjoy a welcome Brandy.
Boxing Day
Friday 26th December 2008
A Cracking start to the final day, with a Bouncy Castle
Then on to Games for Giants
Plus a Seaside favourite, which makes us all laugh …That’s the way to do it! A Traditional Punch & Judy show
By now your stomach will be rumbling and food beckons. A sumptuous Pirates feast from the Sea accompanied by Sea Shanties… “Yo! Ho! Ho! and a bottle of rum...”
And then, our very own story teller has volumes of tall tales of great deeds, heroes and ner-do-wells!
Later, after Children’s tea, wind down time with
Videos, Milk and Cookies in our Evening crèche
A civilised Dinner to the gentle strains of our Harpist
VIVA LAS VEGAS!
Risk it all (virtually) on the roulette wheel or be the best at black jack, will you break the bank? No!!
Saturday 27th December 2008
After breakfast, a sad but fond farewell.
