Moonfleet is a true bolthole away from real life. Indeed, there is a real sense of “Otherworld”, from the crystal clear light, to the freshness of the air (with a feint hint of sea salt) and to the near deafening silence of our wonderfully sheltered location.
We understand the key elements that go into creating a great family break. Having lots to do is one of them and boy, do we have lots for you to do! Careful though, it can often be difficult to tear yourself away to fully discover the undoubted delights of Dorset!
The crèche is open from 10am to 5pm every day and is absolutely free to residents. We run organised activities daily to delight and engage the under 7’s so pop them in and take the time to read the newspaper, catch up on sleep or have a relaxing massage in one of our treatment rooms.
Always top of everyone’s list is a Swimming Pool and Moonfleet has three of them! All indoor and heated to 30°. Our 5m x 3m baby pool is great for under 3’s. Our 5m x 7m pool is 1m deep, so is great for armbands and beginners, whilst our 10m x 7m pool is great for family fun and is a constant 1.4m deep. Best of all is that there are no family swim time restrictions within opening hours, so you can swim all day! Oh, did we mention that there is a Sauna as well?!
Our wonderful oddity, the Verandah, was formally an Indoor Bowls Club. Now, the 120m² Green is an Aladdin’s cave of Kid’s activity equipment and will keep you rooted to the Hotel, whatever the weather. An under 5’s soft play zone is complimented by Table Tennis tables, Pool Tables, a Football Table, Air Hockey, Indoor Trampolines and an Indoor Football Pitch. New for 2014 is our Traversing Wall! Phew!
And that’s not all! Hidden away in the same building is our very own Skittle Lanes (see the photo above).
Outside, we have a great sandpit and play structure for our younger guests as well as two resurfaced hard court Tennis Courts for our sporty guests. Our Toddle Waddle makes going for a little walk with Toddlers great fun and it’s not too far …. but far enough!
The South Coast Coastal Path runs right outside of our back door, so we are in the perfect spot to go for a “yomp” and take up the Geocaching challenge, or take a magical stroll along the Fleet with 'Snoopy', our resident hotel Spaniel!
