Set in an area designated as a World Heritage site, Moonfleet Manor overlooks the geographical wonder of Chesil Beach and the Fleet lagoon in Dorset. Only 2.5 hours from London, this 36 room Georgian hotel provides the perfect location for a Christmas party with a difference, where smuggling, ghosts and buried treasure will bring work colleagues an experience that they will never forget. Find Blackbeard’s Treasure We know that your budgets won’t stretch to Blackbeard’s diamond so we’ve hidden a case of rather tasty liquor in some nearby woods in Moreton for you to find. As with all buried treasure, the search won’t be easy, but don’t worry our experienced smugglers Elzevier and Trenchard will be there to guide you through some practical tasks in the wood that will not only lead you to the treasure, but also enrich your leadership and team building skills. Ghost Stories and Winter Pimm’s in Front of the Fire Come to the Drawing Room if you dare… We’ll light the fires and pour the drinks as you settle back for a short smuggler’s ghost story just before dinner, where it will be announced who it will be that sleeps in the hotel’s haunted bedroom! A Night with Grace Maskew’s Ghost It is said that the ghost of Grace Maskew, John Trenchard’s love, can be seen at the window looking out across the Fleet in the room that shares her name. Who will be the lucky person to sleep in this room? Maybe the person who didn’t pull their weight in the treasure hunt or the person who has been the laziest in the office all year…you decide! Dinner and Downstairs Enjoy a three course dinner in our 2 AA rosette restaurant, where scallops with an aromatic mussel and ginger broth, sweet crab cakes with an orange and saffron butter sauce and duck breast with seriously crispy skin and a lush meaty jus are regulars. After filling your boots, it’s down to the cellar for some contraband and to crack open Blackbeard’s treasure! Of course, all our liquor is legitimate and a full selection will be made available to you and your work colleagues. All these events are based on a one night stay, however we can cater for longer should this be required. We advise groups to arrive at Moonfleet by 11am to ensure maximum benefit from the Find Blackbeard’s Treasure event. This activity is provided by Whitehorse Leadership training at their training centre in Moreton (30 minute drive from Moonfleet). The aim of the training is to:

All training is based around a range of practical challenges where teams learn the importance of team work and positive leadership. Including exclusive use of the 36 room hotel includes dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel can sleep a maximum of 66 people if individual beds / sofa beds are required for each person. Find Blackbeard’s Treasure starts from £125 per delegate Including training and transport to and from the Moreton site. Maximum size of group for Moreton woods location is 24 delegates.
